I want to start this yoga blog post with the subject of: Why don't you do yoga?
I ALWAYS advocate yoga. Sometimes I feel like I do it too much. lol. But, that's because I know and can confirm how it helps you in so many ways! It is not just about doing poses. It is about being more flexible, more mindful, more focused, and so much more! What this world would be like if everyone did some yoga in their lives.
As I talk to people about doing yoga. I hear their reservations. Or, maybe no verbal reservations. But, just the common one.... I don't know. I actually think that is the best reason. You don't know! I once was that person. I did yoga a few times in the past, but never took it seriously.......till I needed to! That's the thing. Some people don't start to do yoga until they really NEED to. Usually, suggested by a doctor.
Whether I do get some of people's reasons why or not. I have a feeling of some of the reasons. I came across an article, on Yoga International, that gives a good list of peoples reasons why not. Here they are:
As I say in ALL my classes. We are all created uniquely and will come into poses differently from each other. That is why there is not one way to do yoga, there is YOUR way in doing yoga!
